It pleased me to see her so. She shrank back from me as I smiled at her, baring my teeth. I took a step towards her and she took a step backwards. She tried to evade me, running for my left side. She was fast for a human but not fast enough. I caught her right arm and pulled her back, slamming her into the wall. She looked into my eyes, searching for the reason of this outrage.

"Lyle!" She cried out."Lyle, you're hurting me!"

I looked down at where I had hold of her arm and indeed I was holding on tighter than I had intended. I loosened my grip on her arm, letting the blood flow throughout her arm. She jerked her arm, trying to free it from my grasp, but my grip was firm. She stared at the hand that held her in place and pulled at it. It would not budge. I seized her chin and tilted it upward. She stared at me with her golden eyes, a flurry of emotions. I tilted her head a little, revealing the naked skin of her neck. She flinched when I brought her closer to me, trying to pull away. I brought my head down to her neck and pierced the layer of skin that protected what was underneath, what I needed.

Her strength was leaving her as I drained her. She was not even resisting anymore. Tears were beginning to roll down her cheeks mixing in with her blood. Before her voice gave out she whispered one last thing, and it was my name.
